Priti welcomes local schools to Parliament

Recently, Witham MP Priti Patel was delighted to welcome pupils from both Powers Hall Academy and Chipping Hill Primary School to Parliament. The pupils had the opportunity to visit the historic Palace of Westminster, toured both the House of Commons and House of Lords as well as hearing the about the interesting stories that have taken place in the iconic building. Pupils also had the opportunity to speak to Priti about local issues and ask her questions about her role as their MP.

Priti said: “I was delighted to welcome pupils from Powers Hall Academy and Howbridge Juniors School to Parliament at the start of the week. It was wonderful to hear their views on politics, Parliament and Witham. They all enjoyed their behind the scenes tour and were lucky to hear many historical stories about Parliament.”
