Witham MP Priti Patel is chairing a public meeting on Wednesday 30 May 2018 at St Nicholas Church Community Hall in Witham. The meeting will take place between 6pm and 7.30pm and will be an opportunity for local commuters to question representatives from train operator Abellio Greater Anglia and Network Rail, who manage rail infrastructure such as tracks. Priti, who is the Chair of the Great Eastern Main Line Rail Taskforce and has secured over £1 billion of new investment in rail services, said:

“Those responsible for running our railway should be accountable to the public they serve and to their passengers. I am pleased that Abellio and Network Rail have agreed to come to Witham to meet with passengers. There are five railway stations in the Witham constituency and everyone who uses them is welcome to attend.”

“Commuters from the railway stations in the Witham constituency have experienced disruption and delays and this will be an opportunity to get answers and information from Abellio and Network Rail.”

Notes to Editors:

The five railway stations in the Witham constituency are: Witham, Hatfield Peverel, Kelvedon, Marks Tey and White Notley.

The rail meeting will be taking place at the St Nicholas Church Community Hall in Witham, between 6pm and 7.30pm.
