Priti Patel MP pledges to #PassOnPlastic with Sky Ocean Rescue campaign

Member of Parliament for Witham, the Rt. Hon. Priti Patel, today signed Sky Ocean Rescue’s campaign pledge to #PassOnPlastic, a commitment to reduce plastic consumption. The Sky Ocean Rescue campaign has highlighted the damaging effects single-use plastics have on our rivers and oceans and have sought to encourage people to make small changes to reduce their daily plastic consumption.

Priti commented:

“I am delighted to support Sky’s Ocean Rescue campaign by pledging reduce my own plastic consumption, as well as encouraging my constituents to do so, as even the most smallest of changes to reduce our individual plastic consumption will have an overwhelmingly positive effect.

“As an Island Nation, we are blessed with some of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, from Luskentyre to Lands’ End, Rhossili to Rathlin Island, it is our duty and responsibility to conserve these precious areas of outstanding national beauty.

“That is why I am proud to pledge my support for this campaign to #PassOnPlastic and would encourage others who treasure our coastline and oceans to do the same”
