Local MP Priti Patel has met with doctors and health practitioners from Kelvedon and Feering Health Centre to discuss the plans for a brand-new health facility to serve the Kelvedon and Feering area.

During her visit to the current practice building on the High Street in Kelvedon, she spoke with the GP partners as well as the practice manage and discussed the current issues which are causing delays with the plans.

Priti, who has been extremely supportive of the delivery of a new improved health centre, is determined to see this project to fruition. She has been clear with all the parties involved that plans should not be held up by red tape and regulation, and that this project needs to progress so that the practice can retain their new GP and residents of Kelvedon and Feering have access to high quality health facilities within their locality.

Priti said: “It was very helpful to meet with the team at Kelvedon and Feering Health Centre and listen to their concerns about the lack of progress with the new health centre.

Parts of our county have experienced considerable population growth and demographic changes, resulting in situations where the demand for primary care is outstripping supply.

I have made my position very clear that I will work with all those involved to see this new health centre built. I am working closely with BDC, Barrat David Wilson Homes and the practice to make sure residents in Kelvedon and Feering receive the health centre that they have been promised and deserve.”
