After the ceremony, Priti took the opportunity to sponsor the 2022 Witham carnival with a personal donation to the Witham Carnival Association of £500, which she presented to the new Carnival Queen.

Priti said: “I was thrilled to join the Witham Carnival Association once again for this special occasion, the crowning of the new Carnival Queen and her court. This was also a wonderful moment to thank the outgoing Queen and court who have served the community for an additional year, due to the pandemic.

“I would like to thank the Witham Carnival Association for the hard work they are doing in advance of the big day and I hope that my donation will help them to put on the best Carnival we have ever had. The Association has always been supported by local volunteers who do a tremendous job in organising a complex event and raising a great deal of money for their chosen local charities.”
