Witham MP raises serious concerns about Maltings Academy in House of Commons
Priti Patel MP has continued to raise the concerns of her constituents in Parliament to the government about Maltings Academy and Academies Enterprise Trust with the Minister for School, Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP during Education Questions in the House of Commons. These are ongoing concerns raised by parents whose children attend Maltings Academy and are impacted by failing educational standards, bullying and serious safeguarding concerns which has lead to many children missing out on school time.
Priti commented ‘Pupils and parents in Witham deserve good and outstanding schools locally. I have been working with the Department for Education and Ofsted to make sure standards at our schools are at the high level that is rightly expected, and that the serious concerns raised with AET at Maltings Academy are addressed by the school, Academies Enterprise Trust and the Department for Education.’
