The Witham MP, Priti Patel, has given further support to the work of the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity with a £250 donation.  During her visit to their Mid Essex Cancer Support Centre in Hatfield Peverel on Friday 10th March, 2023, Priti presented the cheque to the Charity’s CEO, Kate Alden.

The Charity provides support for clients with all forms of cancer, whether they have been recently diagnosed or are further along on their cancer pathway.  The Cancer Support Centre provides complementary therapies, manual lymphatic drainage, counselling and access to support groups including Yoga, Mindfulness, Relaxation, Ladies and Men’s groups and the new Wiggle & Giggle group.

After her visit, Priti said: “I am delighted to be able give some financial support to the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. Costs are soaring for any charity right now and it is important that we get behind them at this tricky time.  Their work to support people suffering from cancer and their families is invaluable.  A cancer diagnosis can be devastating for the individual concerned and for their immediate family.  At such a difficult time they need lots of support and we are very fortunate to have the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity here in this part of Essex, to provide it.”

Kate Alden, the CEO of Helen Rollason Cancer Charity said: “We are very grateful for Priti’s continued support for our work and for her generous donation.  We need to raise funds throughout the year, to make sure that we can continue to provide our services to the people and families who need us.”
