Priti Patel attends launch of new GLA Roofing Training Academy in Colchester
Witham MP, Priti Patel, attended the launch of the new GLA Roofing Training Academy in Colchester yesterday [Thursday 11 October 2018].
The new Training Academy was founded by GLA Roofing Ltd in response to a growing decline in the number of people entering in the industry and the need for additional tilers and slaters in Essex. The Academy offers trainees the opportunity to learn basic roofing skills, product knowledge, health and safety knowledge as well as producing a written order for materials and written invoices.

“Specialising in roofing and key construction skills, the Academy is offering new life changing employment opportunities to people from all walks of life. Their support of young people, veterans and ex-offenders to get them back into work is brilliant.
“I wish GLA and the Academy every success for the future and I look forward to hearing more about the progress of the first cohort of trainees!”
