Priti Patel, MP for Witham was delighted to join the team at Braxted Park to discuss their great litter picking initiative with local schools called ‘Let’s Talk Trash’ . This campaign has been set up by Duncan Clark and John Read (Founder, Clean Up Britain) with the objective to raise awareness of school pupils on the scourge of littering and the subsequent environmental impact.

Last year over 300 students from Plume Academy, took part in a number of activities designed to shift behavioural change at Braxted Park and this year the campaign plans to reach out to all schools in Essex.

Priti said: “I encourage schools in Witham to get involved in this great educational initiative as this is a great opportunity for young people to develop skills and learn more about how we can protect our environment.”
