Footway improvement works which were a condition of the Forest Road development in Rivenhall are now set to be implemented in April following representations from Witham MP Priti Patel. The improvements to the footpath were part of planning conditions for the development but had yet to be implemented. After Priti raised the issue with Braintree District Council contact was made with the developer who has now confirmed that the works will be undertaken and completed in April. Priti said:

“Developers must deliver the improvement that they promise with developments and the footpath improvements are much-needed. The delays in the works taking place have been disappointing and causing concerns to residents. I am pleased to have nudged the District Council to review this matter and welcome the announcement that the works will be taking place and completed next month.”
