Priti Patel MP quizzed by Stanway Fiveways Primary pupils

Priti Patel, Member of Parliament for Witham, met with pupils from Stanway Fiveways Primary School in Parliament today to speak about her role as an MP [Thursday 21 March 2019].

Pupils from Stanway Fiveways Primary School were visiting Parliament to take part in a tour of the Palace of Westminster and a workshop at Parliament’s Education Centre. Pupils quizzed Ms Patel on a range of topics including her role as an MP, the role of the House of Commons vs the House of Lords and Brexit.

Following her question and answer session with pupils, Ms Patel said:

“It was a pleasure to meet and speak with pupils from Stanway Fiveways Primary school about my role as their local Member of Parliament. They asked me some thought-provoking questions and it is great to see young people engaged with local and national issues.”

“I am delighted they all enjoyed their day visiting Parliament and I hope to visit the school again soon.”
