The Witham MP, Priti Patel, has today (27th July) formally opened Lime Tree Place, the new apartment complex in Collingwood Road, Witham. Developed by Inspired Homes and Equinox Living, Lime Tree Place consists of 75 one bedroom and 22 two-bedroom apartments that have been created from the conversion of the NHS offices that previously occupied the buildings, by Essex based, Phelan Construction. Some of the apartments have already been sold, principally to first time buyers.

Speaking after officiating at the ribbon cutting ceremony, alongside Cllr Clare Lager, the Mayor of Witham, Priti said: “I was impressed with the quality of the properties I looked at. They are affordable, good quality, apartments in a handy location for local amenities and for Witham Station. The people who are moving into this development are going to be my constituents, so it is only right that I should take an interest in the type and quality of homes that are being built here!”

Martin Skinner, Chief Executive of Inspired Homes said: “It was a pleasure to have Priti Patel here to formally open Lime Tree Place. We think it will be an asset to the town of Witham in providing high quality homes starter homes in a good location for young people wanting to get on to the property ladder. 1GB Hyperoptic broadband awaits any new purchaser moving in!”

Darius Ziatabari, Director and Co-Founder of Equinox Living added: “These new homes are built to a very high specification and in a price bracket that avoids Stamp Duty. With Help to Buy, they are eminently in reach of young people starting out in life and career. New residents moving in will benefit from hardwood floors, Italian Arta Cucine kitchens, quartz worktops and Bosch appliances. Landscaped gardens with amenities are also a feature of Lime Tree Place”
