COVID and Flu Vaccinations – who is eligible?

Flu Vaccine Eligibility	COVID Autumn Booster Eligibility Appointment should be at least 91 days after previous dose
50 and over (including those who’ll be 50 by 31 March 2023)	50 or over
Aged 6 months to 50 years in a clinical at-risk group	Pregnant Women
Pregnant Women	Aged 5 years or older and at high risk due to health condition or weakened immune system
In long-stay residential care	Aged 16 years or older and lives with someone who has a weakened immune system
Receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick	Aged 16 years or older and a carer (either paid or unpaid)
Living with someone who is more likely to get infections. For example, someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis	Frontline health or social care worker
Children aged 2 and 3 years on 31st August 2022
Primary school aged children (reception year to year 6)
Frontline health or social care worker

Please note: for all eligibility groups listed above the NHS are specifically targeting individuals with Severe Mental Illness and Learning Difficulties.

Difficulty in booking appointments for COVID vaccinations?

If local residents in Mid & South Essex are experiencing issues with booking their vaccinations, then they can contact the MSE referral Service on 0300 123 0771 Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm for assistance.

For Suffolk and North East Essex, they can contact the Helpline on 0344 257 3961.

All pharmacies below are offering Flu vaccinations. For those that do not meet the Eligibility Criteria to receive their Flu Vaccination, they can privately purchase this at any of the pharmacies below.
