Priti welcomes finalists from her constituency to the Countryside Alliance national awards at Westminster
The MP for Witham, Priti Patel has warmly welcomed representatives from Stantons Farm Alpacas to the national Countryside Alliance Awards held in the Palace of Westminster on Thursday 18th May. Stantons Farm, which is in Black Notley, was nominated for an award by Priti and it received regional recognition by winning the East of England award for best rural enterprise. Priti’s second nomination Daymens Hill Farm, Tolleshunt Major, was also highly commended by the judges.
Petrina Tungatt, owner of the farm, farm manager Jessica Roots and her colleague Felicity all came up for the national awards presentation and Priti was there to welcome them.
Priti, commenting after the awards, said: “Stantons Farm are the East of England Countryside Alliance champions and I am very proud that a rural business from my constituency did so well in the awards. I visited the farm last summer and it was a pleasure to meet up with Petrina and her team again, for the awards ceremony and to congratulate them on their success.”
Petrina and Gareth Tungatt, owners of the farm said: “Winning the regional award is a big feather in our cap, especially as we are still a young business, having started in 2021. We are very grateful to Priti for nominating us and to the Countryside Alliance for recognising our achievements.”
